Fabric Arts is a terrific way to let your creativity blossom!  It could be traditional quilting, machine embroidery, heirloom sewing or handwork.  At Emily's Sewing Basket, we are always looking for new expressions in the fabric arts, and we enjoy helping our customers learn new tips and techniques to gain confidence in their ability to design and create family gifts and keepsakes.  You'll find everything you need and more in our spacious store! 

WE OFFER SEWING CLASSES!

We offer beginners, intermediate and advanced quilting classes for all ages; taught by experienced teachers that can communicate a multitude of sewing techniques by hand and by machine.  Emily's Sewing Basket is fortunate to have two licensed and certified Martha Pullen and Jenny Haskins instructors.   

Two examples of classes we've held were Landscape and Hawaiian quilting. Do you need to learn the computerized part of your sewing machine? We are well versed in software usage and machine embroidery.  Or, maybe you just want to start with handwork.  We have hand embroidery thread and patterns, and we teach a Brazilian Embroidery class once a quarter.

Maybe your dream has been to make a christening/baptismal gown or quilt for your child - we can show you how and teach you the French sewing techniques that will enhance your sewing knowledge and skill level.

There are more choices than hours in a day! Come in and let us help you get started on a creative path. You will be amazed at what you can learn in a very short time!
